SS2 Swim Team Families,

Looking forward to tomorrow and the Division 15 Individual Championships at SS2!  It's always an exciting meet at SS2!

Reminder, there is no parking in the SS2 lot on Saturday am. The lot is reserved for officials. Be careful as you cross Sully Park Drive.  Please carpool or walk to the meet.  

It will be an early day. All SS2 volunteers should report by 7:00a. 

Team areas will be outside in the grass areas again this year, and they open at 7a (SS2 is in Team Area #6 on the tennis court side of the driveway). Swimmers should bring camp chairs and towels/blankets to sit on! Everyone should bring plenty of water for the meet.  We need a couple more parent volunteers who can help marshal the team areas while your kids are not swimming. Please volunteer.

We are encouraging spectator viewing this year by stroke. Spectators will come in to watch an event and then head back out to the parking lot/team areas to await their swimmers’ next event.

We will see many of you to help set up shortly around 5p to move bleachers to set up the deck area.

If you can bring a tent/canopy for us to use, please bring to the pool on Friday evening! We need several inside on the pool deck.

There is no general warm-up, so the first warm-up is for backstrokers only. SS2’s backstroke warmup is at 7:45a in Lane 6. 12 & Unders will go first at 7:45a, and then 13& Overs will warm-up at 7:55a. This is the same plan that will be used for warm-up for each stroke.

The meet starts at 8:30a

There will be a 20-minute warm-up between each stroke broken out like the above. SS2 will always warm-up in lane 6.

Also note that the “Not Earlier Than” event start times are for the events themselves and do not include pre-stroke warm-up times. To warm-up, swimmers should be at the meet at least 30 mins prior to the “Not Earlier Than” times.

This is the order of strokes for the meet: Back, Breast, Fly, IM, Free. There is a break between Fly and IM.

Please note the attached schedule for marshals/officials’ arrival. This timing is VERY IMPORTANT for this meet.
