Here are the entries for tomorrow’s meet. Looking forward to it! Please ensure your swimmers have plenty of water with them for the meet. We are starting early, but it will still be hot! Stay cool and hydrated today!

Saturday, July 4

7:10a – Meet at Herndon Pool (we are not meeting at SS2 due to earlier start time to beat the heat and encourage family celebrations for the holiday!

7:20a – SS2 Warm-ups

7:30a - Stroke and Turn Judges meeting with Referee

7:40a - Timers meet with Chief Timer

7:40a - SS2 Warm-ups end

7:50a - Swimmers for the first four events report to the clerk of course and Herndon Lollipop race

7:55a - Welcome and introductions by the announcer

8:00a - Meet starts

Parking: Herndon has a gravel lot (no lines :) ) and will have 2 parking marshals in orange vests available to help folks keep the parking tight to get as many of our team cars in the lot as possible! Please look for them :)

Team Area: Our team area is at the back of the property and is off the pool deck. There is also a large, covered, elevated deck in that area for parent spectators. Swimmers should set up on the basketball court section, or in the grassy area adjacent to the spectator deck. PLEASE BRING CAMP CHAIRS FOR THE SWIMMERS IN THE TEAM AREA. We also need a few canopies for the team area. Please reply in GroupMe if you can bring one for the swimmers.

The PV parking lot is small, so you’ll need to parallel park along Cub Run Road. Please be courteous towards PV’s neighbors and their driveways.

Pool: For safety, Herndon starts all events in the deep end of the pool (the timers move for 25m races). This does mean that swimmers will do flip turns in the shallow end. One note is that obviously half of the relay swimmers will still dive in on the shallow side.
