Entries for Saturday's Meet at Burke Station - June 29th
Good morning!
Great job to the swimmers for our 3rd place finish last night at Relay Carnival! Attached are our entries (early this week!) for Saturday’s meet at Burke Station. EVERYONE PLEASE LOOK AT THE ENTRY LIST – WE HAVE SWIMMERS IN THE MEET WHO MAY NOT EXPECT TO BE SWIMMING DUE TO ABSENCES THIS WEEK!
Please print a copy to have with you at the meet if you are interested. There are no meet sheets sold on Saturday.
We will see you Saturday morning for our third meet of the season! Our theme for the meet is “Super Hero”! This applies to swimmers AND Parents (but not to our timers and deck officials who will have their white over navy blue on! 😉).
Saturday, June 29
7:30a – Arrive at SS2
7:35a – Depart for Burke Station

8:20a – SS2 warm-up starts
8:30a - Stroke and turn judges meeting with referee
8:35a - Timers meet with chief timer
8:40a – SS2 warm-up ends
8:50a - Swimmers for the first four events report to the clerk of course
8:55a - Welcome and introductions by the announcer
9:00a - Meet starts
General Parking:
Parking is limited. Overflow parking can be found in the neighborhood and at the VRE Station across Rolling Road. If parking in the VRE lot, please be careful crossing Rolling Road. If parking in the neighborhood, please respect all signs and driveways.
Sully Station II Team Area:
We have the grassy area next to the wading pool. There will be a decent amount of shade in that section for much of the meet, but bring your tents, bug spray, water, etc. We cannot place any of our pool chairs/loungers in the grassy area, so please have swimmers bring their own chairs.
Concessions:
Open and serving the usual breakfast and lunch fare, such as breakfast burritos, bagels, muffins, hamburgers, hot dogs, traveling tacos, various drinks, carnival-style popcorn, chips, snow cones, candy, etc. They will be accepting cash and credit, so come hungry!
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome inside the pool gate on the upper deck of the pool and in the wooded area on the right side by the SS2 team area. We also strongly encourage spectators to bring their own chairs, as we will be removing much of the seating on the upper deck area.
Clerk of Course:
Clerk of Course will be located next to the diving board under a tent. Swimmers can enter at the gate near the diving board.
For Monday's Home B Meet vs Brandywine - July 1:
PLEASE, PLEASE, have your selections in to Heather ([email protected]) AND Chris ([email protected]) by 5p on Sunday. This is IMPORTANT.
For next Saturday's A Meet on July 6: Please let us know your swimmer's availability by 5p Sunday in the same note as your B meet selections.
